Jigsaw puzzles are as old as the hills, but printed versions need additional constraints to make them feasible to solve on paper. In this square-based version the shapes must all be fitted in the grid so that all squares are covered and there is no overlap.

Rotations and reflections ('turning over') are not allowed in this sample, but in other puzzles they might be which of course would make it notably harder.
